Yeah, you read that right. I have been robbed. Argh.
Tuesday night I parked my van in the driveway (my dear husband has taken custody of my side of the garage yet again!). Wednesday morning after opening the shop I decided to unpack some personal scrapbook stuff I had left in the car after the awesome crop I attended in Hamilton over the weekend. My rolling bag wasn't there! Hmmmm. It had been there Tuesday night. I remember Jillian stepping over it at Martin's.
Call hubbie--no, he doesn't have it. Call Nancy--no it's not at the house. Call hubbie--he remembers a white 'book' laying on the side of the road this am beside the Job Corps. Send Nancy on a fact finding mission.
My precious Bazzill White album--a little beat up but intact was the mysterious white book! This is the album that had been housing my newest project--Jillian's school album. May irreplaceable items! I am so thankful it was found. My dear friend also found various acrylic stamps, ink, pens, a punch and some other misc. items. However I am still missing over $300 in tools and a manila envelope FULL of various other school memorabilia. Tools still missing: Big Bite, Cutterpede, 3" square punch, 2 adhesive runners, corner rounder, a huge embellishment folder FULL of rub-ons and more. Sigh. So should you see these items on the side of the road, at your local yard sale, etc--give me a ring! LOL! I realize I will probably never see them again but I thought I put it out there. Probably the funniest part of the whole ordeal is I am sure they must have thought it was a laptop case! I can't imagine the perpetrators were avid scrapbookers. What a bummer that must have been! Maybe they are doing body piercing with my Crop-o-Dile?
And before anyone asks--NO, my car was not locked. :( I am from small town, USA--I used to get in trouble for locking my car in the driveway! My dad preferred me to leave the keys in it in case he had to move it! Crime was unheard of in New Martinsville!
The indignity of it all! Sigh.
