New Summer Hours! Effective immediately.

After all lot of consideration we have changed our hours at Memory Lane.

Summer has slowed store traffic and in the interest of saving gas/electric and my children's sanity (not to mention MINE!) I have cut store days to Thursday, Friday and Saturday on a trial basis.  But, while I have cut DAYS, I increased the HOURS.  We are now here until 7pm 2 days per week!  Please stop by after dinner, on your way home or when you are out for your evening walk (Dana--wink, wink!).  Your biggest request has always been later hours--so here they are!

Memory Lane Summer Hours:

Sunday thru Wednesday: Closed

Thursday AND Friday 11am 'til 7pm

Saturday 10am 'til 3pm

**As alway--feel free to tell me what you think!  I am always open to suggestions!  Thanks for understanding.

Don't forget Make-N-Take Fridays!

Just a reminder to stop by every Friday this summer to do your FREE Make-n-Take at Memory Lane.  We are starting off this week with Foiling!  Did you see it in Scrapbooks, Etc this month?  Now you can try it!

Every Friday--All Day  11am-7pm.  Bring a friend!

I was contacted by a scrapbook company from Australia to give some items a test run.  They are called KaiserCraft and will debut at CHA in the summer.  Have you heard of them?  Want to take a look and give me some feedback?  Check out http://kaisercraft.com.au/USA/scrapbook.html and let me know what you think.  I'll update when I receive the goodies!

Scrapbook Crime! I've been robbed.

Yeah, you read that right.  I have been robbed.  Argh.

Tuesday night I parked my van in the driveway (my dear husband has taken custody of my side of the garage yet again!).  Wednesday morning after opening the shop I decided to unpack some personal scrapbook stuff I had left in the car after the awesome crop I attended in Hamilton over the weekend.  My rolling bag wasn't there!  Hmmmm.  It had been there Tuesday night.  I remember Jillian stepping over it at Martin's.

Call hubbie--no, he doesn't have it.  Call Nancy--no it's not at the house.  Call hubbie--he remembers a white 'book' laying on the side of the road this am beside the Job Corps.  Send Nancy on a fact finding mission.

My precious Bazzill White album--a little beat up but intact was the mysterious white book!  This is the album that had been housing my newest project--Jillian's school album.  May irreplaceable items!  I am so thankful it was found.  My dear friend also found various acrylic stamps, ink, pens, a punch and some other misc. items.  However I am still missing over $300 in tools and a manila envelope FULL of various other school memorabilia.  Tools still missing: Big Bite, Cutterpede, 3" square punch, 2 adhesive runners, corner rounder, a huge embellishment folder FULL of rub-ons and more.  Sigh.  So should you see these items on the side of the road, at your local yard sale, etc--give me a ring!  LOL!  I realize I will probably never see them again but I thought I put it out there.  Probably the funniest part of the whole ordeal is I am sure they must have thought it was a laptop case!  I can't imagine the perpetrators were avid scrapbookers.  What a bummer that must have been!   Maybe they are doing body piercing with my Crop-o-Dile?

And before anyone asks--NO, my car was not locked.  :(  I am from small town, USA--I used to get in trouble for locking my car in the driveway!  My dad preferred me to leave the keys in it in case he had to move it! Crime was unheard of in New Martinsville!

The indignity of it all!  Sigh.

C'mon guys--get out there, take a photo and send it in!  WV/VA has THE most beautiful scenery around--let's show 'em what we got!

Piggy Tales is one of my FAVORITE scrapbook companies.   At CHA this year they announced that they have gone green!  Their new lines are printed on recycled paper with soy based organic ink--and yes, they are completely acid/lignin free/photo-safe!

Memory Lane currently has 2 Piggy Tales lines available--Baa, Baa Black Sheep and Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater.  We also have Barn doors, Sliding doors, lift the flap board books and Sliding door board books!

Check out piggytales.com and let me know what other lines you'd like to see at Memory Lane.   C'mon y'all--I need some blog action!  The first 5 to respond will get a little 'blog candy'.   *wink*

Got a theme?

Paper, paper, paper--as I sit here among the stacks of paper it occurs to me how many themed items we have in stock and how many more exist!!  It's hard to pick paper for everyone, it's hard to know what will and won't sell.  I am always open to requests and suggestions. I have my favorite lines--but Memory Lane isn't all about me!

I spent yesterday tracking down the sole manufacturer of 4-H scrapbook supplies.  My oldest is in her second year of 4-H and it's project time--so lots of requests from her, fellow members and parents.  I am happy to report 4-H paper and stickers should be arriving within the week.  The company is called "It Takes 2", I also ordered a few other themed items: Boy Scout paper and stickers and Red Hat Ladies paper.  Interestingly enough they even have FFA paper (if you have an interest in that let me know!).

So...let's see.  We have custom school papers for Jefferson High, Charles Town Middle, Harper Ferry Middle, Faith Christian Academy and Martinsburg High--with more schools coming soon (don't be shy--request yours!).  Believe it or not we have EPIC soccer paper.   Every sport you can imagine: Fishing, football, track, running, football, martial arts, baseball, tee ball, and on and on.   Music, band and even color guard are one the racks!  Would you believe we even have wine and beer items?  That's just the tip of the iceberg.  If you are looking for something specific please let me know--we love the hunt.
